The short version

This website does one thing: it lets you join a waitlist for the OK Soonish iPhone app. We don't use cookies, advertising pixels or third-party trackers here. The only thing we keep is your email, and we use it only to tell you when the app launches.

What we store when you join

• Your email address.
• Which version of this page you signed up on (for example, the "deciding" page), and any campaign tag in the link you followed (UTM tags), so we know which message was useful.
• Your answer to the optional "which moment brought you here?" question, if you chose one. You can skip it.
• The time you signed up.

We never ask about your partner, your relationship or your health on this site, and please don't send us those details.

How we use it

Only to send you a launch notice about OK Soonish. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to other lists. The subject line won't mention breakups or relationships. If we don't launch, we delete the list.

Where it's kept

Signups are stored in a database run for us by Supabase, our database provider. The page can add an email to the list but can't read it back; only SideEye Labs can.

Website analytics

We may count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across sites. No ad networks, no session recording, no fingerprinting for ads.

The app itself (planned)

The app isn't out yet. Here is how we're building it, and the app's own privacy policy will confirm the details at launch:

• Your journal stays on your phone. Notes, journal pages and sealed drafts are stored on your iPhone, not in an account or on our servers.
• AI chat is processed, not kept. If you chat with the AI, your messages are sent securely through Vercel's AI Gateway to an Anthropic model only to write a reply. Zero data retention is switched on, we don't log message content on our servers, and messages aren't used to train AI models.
• No account. To prevent abuse and set fair usage limits, the app uses Apple's App Attest, an anonymous check that requests come from a genuine copy of the app. It doesn't tell us who you are.
• No ads, no tracking. No advertising or tracking SDKs, and nothing is used to follow you across apps or websites. On the App Store we expect the label to read "Data Not Linked to You".

Email hello@sideeyelabs.io at any time and we'll delete your email, or show you what we have. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
